Checking in. These days we are learning about alpacas and treehouses, being present and empathetic, bravely being ourselves, new ratatouille and soup recipes, research in city documents and departments, exploring feelings about crime and the justice system, disassembling computers and recycling scrap metal, planting onions.
Thanks Ximena for passing on this children’s book. Inside Out by Wendy Stofan Halley. I think they have a similar definition of “Inside Out”.
Oh! Santi can not stop telling us about his trip to the farm with the Schoolhouse today. He was tired when he got home but he managed to announce “Santi happy”, closed his eyes and took an amazing 3 hour nap. When he got up he told us about claping hands and singing in the car, apple cider, maiz, rain, uvas, jules, eva, ben and kristen, mucha people and more words kept wanting to come out of his mouth- I could feel.
I guess I don’t really need to know more about the trip, the words he shared with us, his faces as he explained us how he made apple cider, how he “molio maiz” are enough to feel excited and inspired, once more, about the Schoolhouse. Thanks guys!
